Learn to Make Your Own Herbal Remedies, One Month at a Time

Two ways to become a herbal apprentice from your own kitchen table — a hands-on subscription box, or a handwritten letter from me. Either way, you'll learn a new remedy every month.

Hi, I'm Louise — a medical herbalist with 30 years in clinical practice at Oswestry Herbarium. This is where I share what I know with you, one herb at a time.

Herbalism isn't something you read about. It's something you do.

Every month, I send you everything you need to make one traditional or modern herbal remedy with your own hands — plus the story of the herb behind it, and how herbalists have used it for generations. No experience needed. Just a hob, a spare hour, and a bit of curiosity.

Questions, answered

Do I need any experience with herbalism?

None at all. I write clear notes for every box and letter explaining what the month's herb is for and how to use it, alongside safety information — written for complete beginners as well as enthusiastic apprentices.

What's the difference between the two subscriptions?

The Herbal Apprentice Box is hands-on: you'll actually make a remedy each month with the herbs, jars and tools I send. The Snail Mail Club is for reading, learning and collecting — a letter, a recipe card, and pressed treasures through the post, without the making.

Can children take part?

Yes. Both subscriptions are suitable from age 7 with adult assistance, and many families do them together.

Do you post outside the UK?

I currently post the Herbal Apprentice Box within the UK only. The Snail Mail Club I can post internationally — postage cost to be confirmed at sign-up.

Can I cancel any time?

Yes, both subscriptions can be cancelled whenever you like.
